Meet Our Team

 

Carlos Cortez - Administrator

Carlos Cortez has been the administrator at Devonshire Oaks Nursing Center for over a year. He has 15 years of experience working in skilled nursing facility as an administrator. His overall time in skilled nursing facilities exceeds over 20 years. He initially began working in social services and then was able to proceed on as an administrator. His other experiences include working as a university instructor, project manager, and social service director. He lives by the personal philosophy of “dare to live.” Carlos is able to understand and speak both Tagalog and English. When asked what significance he finds in his role, he answered with, “the opportunity to serve others.” 

 

Laila Delinela - Infection Control Nurse

Laila Delinela has been at Devonshire Oaks for 5 years and has been the infection preventionist for 2 years. She has worked in skilled nursing facilities for 20 years. Her previous work experiences include being the director of staff development, assistant director of nursing, and a nursing care coordinator. She strongly believes in her personal philosophy to “show respect even to people who don’t deserve it; not as a reflection of their character, but as a reflection of yours.” She is fluent in English, Tagalog, Ilocano, and Pangasinense. Laila pinpoints the significance of her role as being an accountable, effective communicator that prioritizes the structure of a team.

 

Erica Mallari - Social Services Designee

Erica has been the social services designee at Devonshire Oaks for 2 years. She has a decade of previous experience working in skilled nursing facilities as an admissions coordinator and social services designee. Erica lives by the quote by Jana Stanfield, “I cannot do all the good that the world needs, but the world needs all the good I can do.” The significance that she finds in her job is within the statement she made that “it’s a great feeling to be of service to a person in need—especially if it is a small encounter—and being trustworthy enough for residents and their families to confide in me and allow me to help them.”

Meet Our Rehab Team

Francis Ian Chua - Rehab Director

Francis Chua has been Devonshire Oaks’ director of rehabilitation for 2 years. He has 16 years of previous experience working in rehabilitation in various skilled nursing facilities and is currently a senior inpatient physical therapist at Kaiser Permanente. He is fluent in English, Tagalog, and Ilocano. He lives by the motto “life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond.” Francis finds significance in his role through aiding the older population in regaining their function and regaining their ability to live as physically-able once again. 

 

Sienna Padilla - Physical Therapist Assistant

For the past 12 years, Sienna Padilla has worked as a physical therapist assistant (PTA) and has been the PTA for Devonshire Oaks for 2 years. She previously has worked in the hospital setting, pediatrics, and home health. Sienna is fluent in English, Tagalog, and Ilocano. Sienna lives by the quote, “Movement is a medicine for creating change in a person’s physical, emotional, and mental states.” She finds the most significance in maintaining a positive attitude in order to motivate and encourage her patients to attain their functional ability and mobility goals for their independence and quality of life. 

 

Li Li - Occupational Therapist

Li Li is Devonshire Oaks’ occupational therapist and has over 5 years of experience working in the skilled nursing setting. Previously, she worked with the pediatric population, but found a passion for working in the geriatric setting. She is fluent in English and Cantonese. Li Li strongly believes the quote from Plato that states, “good actions give strength to ourselves and inspire good actions in others.” The significance that she finds in her role is being able to help people become more independent in their daily functioning and to improve their quality of life. 

 

Kinnari Satra - Speech Therapist

Kinnari Satra works as Devonshire Oaks’ speech therapist. She has previous experience working in various skilled nursing centers in the last 3 years in the San Francisco Peninsula area. She also has experience at Saratoga Pediatric Sub-Acute and A-Grace Subacute and Skilled Care with a specialty in cognition and language and swallowing deficits in adults. Kinnari is able to speak English, Spanish, Hindi, Gujarati, and Marathi. She lives by the quote “whatever happens, happens for good, so hakuna matata.” 

 

Allan Pagaduan - Rehab Technician

Allan Padaguan has been at Devonshire Oaks for 1 year working as a certified nursing assistant/restorative nursing assistant. He has had a previous background working as a rehab technician in skilled nursing facilities in the Bay Area for the last 6 years. At Devonshire, Allan mainly assists with preparing for therapy sessions, preparing treatment areas, performing administrative duties, and assisting in resident activities. He is able to speak both Tagalog and English. Allan lives by the quote, “He who sings frightens away his ills.”
